Be IN Campaign

23 countries + 18 months + 40 000 young people = EUROPEAN TOGETHER

be in fotoThe project European Together will bring together youth organisations and young people from 23 countries of Europe to develop ambitious European youth campaign.

The campaign will encourage youth participation in public affairs, promote European citizenship, cultural diversity, volunteering and international mobility and inform young people about the Youth in Action programme and other opportunities to participate.

The project aims to increase the access of young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities, to quality information.

Charity project „ Elves over the regions”

EOR1As a tradition every year youth organization „ TAS.ES.” make a charity project „ Elves over the regions” in which they collect used toys and money for poor families and families with more than 4 children. This year many toys, books and sweets were collected from 6 different organizations and 2 private donators. Also, there were 177 lats ( 251 euros ) collected during two charity concerts.  The gifts and sweets were brought to the families in 5 different regions by our youth organization’s youngsters with the help of social supporters, who came with us, to show where these people to whom the gifts were made , lived.

EVS - My Experience Living With Another Culture!

eu-13At the first time when we decide to live in another country, I guess we all are contented, but this happen just for a moment. After that happy moment we stop and think, ask questions to ourselves, well… it’s not so easy to live in another country! So we imagine ourselves going there in that particular place, and still we come up with different questions. What about living in away from my family, my friends, what about cultural differences, people, language, making new friends, everything new.

Summer Academy

From 23rd till 25th of August in learning centre „ Mezamaja” a seminar made by Talsi Youth and Children’s  centre took place. Youngsters from all neighbouring regions came in one place to gain new skills about making the organization more visible and how to promote it.  The seminar „ Summer academy” took place already for the sixth time and this year more han 35 participants came to learn about active and creative ways to promote their organizations through comercials, flash- mobs, newspapers, magazines, etc.
On the first day two lecturers came to tell us about how to make our organizations more visible and how to access the TV with our short commercials and how to make them more efective. On the second day we were visited by journalist D.Vinovska who explained to us how we should go to newspapers and what a descroption of an event should have to be published. Afterwards youngsters went to creative workshop to make a medal from clay. In the evening collective pancacke making, tea drinking and presentations took place.
Every year in the end of „ Summer Academy” there is time to make a plan of next year’s events. This year youth organizations wanted to emphasize the role of charity.
Also, this year doring the seminar a booklet of Talsi,Roja, Dundaga and Mersrags regions was presented nad each participiant was given one before leaving. This booklet included descriptions and contacts of each one of the approx. 30 oranizations in the regions mentioned above.
This year of Summer Academy was historic- for the first time such big number of students attended and many positive feedbacks were received. Also, youngsters have become more creative, active and willing to learn. As one of the participiants said ” I lived it! Here you can learn with a smile on your face and meet cool people. Also the information I received from lectures will be useful in my future proces of  learning”

Be In Campaign Presentation in Blagoevgrad

S6303006The Be In Campaign presentation and information meeting in the Youth House of the Blagoevgrad happened on Feb 7, at 7 pm. We presented in front of 160 students and youth from the city and the region. The main topics were the EU programs: Youth in Action, and the work of Together. We also received a letter of support from the Bulgarian Member of European Parliament Mariya Nedelcheva. The event was reflected by local media: newspapers and radio!

Czech – German Youth Meeting

The seventh Czech-German youth meeting took place in Bayreuth, Germany from 18. to 20. November. This event was organized by Czech-German organization Tandem. In the framework of the meeting, various youth organization presented their activities. Together prepared workshop in collaboration with the German organization Naturfreundjugend Thüringen.

Coffee with politicians

CP1On the 14th of December, 2011, in Talsi region Youth Centre  a youth meeting with the local politicians took place.
In the beginning of this event a movie that was made by youngsters themselves,was shown to the politicians. (  you can watch it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=UyD5tfoPvDE )
The meeting was led by R.Mancendorfa from Ogre’s youth club „ Project workshop”. Even though this was the firt meeting of this kind, we highly recomend to make similar meetings all over the world- it gives you a great experience.
