BE IN Boat

            The symbol of the project will be “Together” the Youth in Action Boat – a sailing boat promoting and carrying the EU colours and it s partners on the trunk and on the sails will to be used as a symbol for media and in the information campaign.

During the 18 months, the boat with experienced sailors mixed with young volunteers on board will visit more than 10 European harbours in the north sea and manche. (UK–IRL-FR-BE-NL-DE)

Of course boat will be used as a tool in other activities. International team of young people coming from all Europe will sailing from harbour to harbour and will make in each of them an information campaign. What is hidden under this activity ? Press conferences, meetings with representatives of the municipality, region and government presentation of the Youth in Action programme for young people, intercultural buffet with informal presentation, meetings with local youth information centres, distribution of posters, fliers and stickers of the campaign in the city and any other activity that can make local people more aware about main topics of the campaign.

But it is not the end ! To disseminate effect of the campaign young people will create a blog on Internet about their adventures.

Also the boat will participate in several international regatas through the 18 months to increase the visibility of the project also at high-profile events and get in contact with decision-makers.

There will be exhibition stands of the project at each of the regatas. (eg: tour de l’ile de Wight- fastnet-normandys week…)

Several information stands about the project and about YIA will be organised around big boat races. (eg: tour de France à la voile-course de l’edhec-transat Jacques vabre-Course du Figaro)

The most active young people from the national project teams will be selected to participate in the boat trips as well as the regattas.
