Agiantza is a non-profit association, estabilished 20 years ago in Bilbao. It has several centers in Bilbao and surroundings and works together with public institutions from the Basque country. It has different project working with unprivileged youth and people. Agiantza has also in its aims the help to immigrants. All this works has been done together with Agiantza’s workers and European volunteers.
Our mission is to provide people in hardest social disadvantage of Bilbao and surroundings areas (such as drug addicts, homeless, immigrants, long-term unemployed...), resources, support and assistance by responding to their needs from the most urgent, timely and effective. In parallel, create and give back to society knowledge about social disadvantage.
Objectivities:
- Assist people in social disadvantage responding to their needs from the most urgent, timely and effective.
- The integration of socially disadvantaged people, from an integrative perspective and ecological.
- Improving quality of life of beneficiaries.
- Meet social demands in response to basic needs support and assistance
